Lorenzo Gangala, a former cast member of the reality TV show Jerseylicious, has passed away months after suffering serious injuries in a motorcycle accident. His death was confirmed by a loved one, who described him as their “beautiful boy” and mourned his untimely loss.

Jerseylicious, which aired on Esquire Network and ITV, followed the lives of workers at the Gatsby Salon in New Jersey. Lorenzo appeared as a main cast member during the first three seasons of the show before departing in 2012, five years prior to the series’ end in 2017.

Born in Italy and raised in New Jersey, Lorenzo was not only a reality TV personality but also a dedicated professional and a man of many talents. At the time of his passing, he worked as a landscape and construction supervisor in New York. A business owner and scholar, Lorenzo held three degrees in business administration and management. His Instagram bio reflected his love for God, family, and good food, passions that defined much of his life.

In August 2024, Lorenzo was involved in a severe motorcycle crash in East Orange. He shared graphic photos of his injuries from the hospital, recounting the traumatic experience. Police reports stated that two motorcycles were found heavily damaged at the scene, with both drivers thrown from their vehicles. Lorenzo and the other motorcyclist were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Reflecting on the accident, Lorenzo posted, “On August 27, my life completely changed. Some may say I was lucky, but the truth is I was saved by the mercy of God. Even as a believer of Jesus Christ since my 20s, I had put Him on the back burner.” He expressed gratitude for the prayers and support he received, sharing a touching photo with his father and writing, “Father & Son still here on earth only because of God, miracles, and prayers.”

Since the crash, Lorenzo had been working to adjust to life again and was even seen attending a Christmas party in December. His Jerseylicious co-star, Tracy DiMarco, previously called him “lucky to still be here” following the accident.

News of Lorenzo’s passing has left his community in mourning. A loved one wrote, “Another sad, very sad news for our community… A beautiful boy left us early… Who still had his whole life ahead of him. RIP Lorenzo Rocco Gangala.” They added, “Give your loved ones the strength to try and move on.”

Tracy DiMarco also paid tribute, sharing old photos and writing, “Fly high @lorenzoroccog. Taken too soon.” Lorenzo’s family has requested privacy as they grieve, and his contributions to both the entertainment world and his community will not be forgotten.
