Marc Mazerolle Cause of Death Moncton, New Brunswick: Beloved Wabanaki School teacher & The Bike Klub founder, Marc Mazerolle dies at 61
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Marc Rene Mazerolle on January 24th, 2025, at his home. Born on June 27th, 1963, in Chatham, New Brunswick, Marc was the only son among four siblings. He was a devoted father to his two sons, Jesse and Sam, a loving stepfather to Malakai, and a foster father to Hannah, who is the mother of two children, Maverick and Branson.
Marc had a deep passion for motorcycles and classic cars, often spending hours watching car shows or taking rides on his Harley Davidson. He was also an avid collector of Hot Wheels, which he proudly showcased in his classroom.
Teaching was another of Marc’s great loves. Over his career, he taught at numerous schools, most recently at Wabanaki School in Moncton. He was especially proud of founding “The Bike Klub,” where he shared his enthusiasm for building motorcycles with his students. Marc was cherished by his students, colleagues, and everyone whose lives he touched, and his loss will be deeply felt by many.
Marc is survived by his long-time partner, Jo-Ann; his mother, Hannelore Mazerolle; his sisters, Brigitte Daigle (Paul), Patricia Durelle (Roberto), and Christiane Clinch (Jeff); his in-laws, Donald and Jocelyne Bourgoin; his brother-in-law, Anthony Bourgoin (Martine); the mother of his children, Sonia Mazerolle (David); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his father, Jerry Mazerolle.
A service to honor and celebrate Marc’s life will be held on Thursday, January 30th, at 6:00 PM at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton, NB (506-858-1995). Following the service, the family invites friends and loved ones to a reception to share memories and celebrate Marc’s life.
