Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Detective Sergeant, Frank Lore “battled silent struggles”

MTA Police Officer Frank Remembered as Hero, Fundraiser Launched for His Children

With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the loss of Officer Frank, a dedicated member of the MTA Police Department who tragically passed away too soon. In honor of his life and legacy, a fundraiser has been established in collaboration with the MTA Police Department Columbia Association to support Frank’s children during this incredibly difficult time.

Frank was more than just a law enforcement officer; he was a husband, a father, a son, and a brother in blue to so many. Over his 25 years of service to the MTA Police, he put in countless hours, often away from his family, to protect people he didn’t even know. His unwavering dedication and deep sense of duty to serving the public will never be forgotten.

Starting his career on patrol, Frank rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a Detective Sergeant in the Dignitary Protection Unit. Before joining the MTA Police, Frank worked as a New York State Corrections Officer, where his commitment to public service began.

In addition to his law enforcement duties, Frank was an active member of the Westchester County Detective Association and the MTA Police Columbia Association.

While Frank loved his work in law enforcement, it was his love for his children that defined him most. He was an ever-present figure in their lives, always there to take them to sporting events, make sure they got their haircuts, and simply be the supportive father they needed. His devotion to his family was unparalleled, and his loss is felt deeply by all who knew him.

As we mourn Frank’s passing, we ask that you keep his family, friends, and co-workers in your thoughts and prayers. The fundraising efforts will provide much-needed support for his children, ensuring they are cared for during this challenging time. Frank’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of working with him and knowing him as a father, a colleague, and a friend.

Please consider donating to the fundraiser and share in honoring the legacy of this hero who gave so much to his community.
