FLOWER HILL, NY — The Roslyn community is reeling from a heartbreaking tragedy following the sudden death of Nathan Ha, a 12-year-old seventh-grade student at Roslyn Middle School, who was fatally struck by a vehicle on Monday evening, May 19, 2025. The devastating incident occurred at approximately 6:38 p.m. on Middle Neck Road, just south of Northern Boulevard, in the village of Flower Hill, New York.

According to Nassau County Police, Nathan had been attempting to cross Middle Neck Road outside of a designated crosswalk when he was struck by a 2023 Ford pickup truck traveling northbound. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene and rendered aid, but tragically, Nathan succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with the investigation. As of now, no charges have been filed.

Nathan’s untimely passing has left his family, friends, classmates, and teachers devastated, grappling with the immense loss of a bright and kind young soul.
