Nyeesha Howard named as victim in fatal shooting at Cole Neighborhood in Denver, Colorado

Denver, CO – Authorities have launched a homicide investigation following the fatal shooting of a woman late Thursday night in Denver’s Cole neighborhood.

The victim has been identified as Nyeesha Howard.

At approximately 10:20 p.m. on March 21, officers from the Denver Police Department (DPD) responded to reports of a shooting in the 2200 block of East Bruce Randolph Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. However, the full extent of her injuries was not immediately known.

Nearly 12 hours later, at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Friday, police confirmed that Howard had succumbed to her injuries, and the case was officially reclassified as a homicide investigation.

At this time, authorities have not released information about a suspect or any potential motive behind the shooting.
