Rebecca Wylie Boo Simms Obituary: Further details released in death of food and lifestyle influencer Rebecca Wylie Simms following complications from a recent surgery

Food and lifestyle influencer Rebecca Wylie Simms, affectionately known as “Boo,” has passed away at the age of 39, according to an Instagram announcement shared by her twin sister and business partner, Sarah.

In the post shared on Monday, January 21, Sarah revealed that Simms tragically died due to complications from surgery earlier in the week. “This loss is immeasurable, and our hearts are completely shattered,” Sarah wrote. She and her late sister co-owned the popular L.A. cheese shop, Lady & Larder.

“Boo was our magic maker, our color painter, and the brightest light I have ever known,” the post continued. Sarah asked for patience and understanding as the family navigates this profoundly painful time.

The announcement also noted that the shop’s Carmel Valley location will be closed indefinitely, while the Santa Monica location will remain open to serve customers with the same love and care that Rebecca brought to everything she did.

Rebecca leaves behind her husband, Sean Montes, and their two young daughters, Mavis Loretta, 3, and Bertie Lou, 2. Alongside her work at Lady & Larder, she also served as the creative director for Lazy Dog Restaurants, as mentioned in her Instagram bio.

Over 1,000 followers expressed their condolences in response to the announcement, with many celebrity friends of the California-based businesswomen offering their grief and support in the comments.
