McLEAN COUNTY, IL — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a fatal crash Thursday morning in Blue Mound Township near Ellsworth.

According to the McLean County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office, Robert B. Rish, 38, of Anchor, was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision involving his motorcycle and a sedan.

Emergency crews were dispatched around 7:30 a.m. to the intersection of 2600 East Road and 1500 North Road for reports of a serious two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, first responders found Rish unresponsive. A preliminary autopsy conducted by the coroner’s office revealed that Rish died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. Toxicology results are pending as the investigation continues.

The driver of the sedan, a juvenile male, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal by Colfax Ambulance.

The incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Sheriff’s Office and the coroner’s office. No further information has been released at this time.
