Ross Olson Obituary Minnesota: Krämer Motorcycles USA tributes in loving memory of staff member, biker Ross Olson

The Minnesota racing community is grieving the tragic loss of Ross Olson, a talented young motorcycle technician and racer with Krämer Motorcycles USA, who passed away at just 20 years old.

A lifelong motorsports enthusiast, Olson began his journey on snowmobiles before transitioning into motorcycles, quickly making a name for himself in both product development and competitive racing. His skill and dedication earned him a pivotal role in the Krämer APX-350 MA project and in the launch of this year’s Parts Unlimited Talent Cup by Motul. Known for his approachable nature and willingness to lend a hand, Olson was especially admired by the young riders in Talent Cup, making his passing particularly difficult for many in the paddock.

Joe Karvonen, founder of Krämer Motorcycles USA and a longtime mentor to Olson, shared a deeply personal tribute.

“I have known Ross since he was 12 years old,” Karvonen said. “He started racing and working with us at Krämer Motorcycles USA when he was 16. In all of my time in the motorcycle industry, I have never worked with a more dedicated and motivated person, especially at his age. He learned so fast and always wanted to do the best he could for Krämer and our customers.

Ross was truly someone special. To my wife and me, he was more than an employee—he was part of our family. Losing him is the hardest thing we have been through.”

Olson’s passing leaves an immense void in both the racing industry and in the lives of those who knew him best. Friends, colleagues, and fellow racers remember him as an ambitious young man whose work ethic, passion for the sport, and warm personality set him apart.

Funeral arrangements and memorial service details will be shared by the family in the coming days.

Godspeed, Ross Olson.
