Known as the face of Anagnostou Properties, Sam built a reputation over nearly four decades as a trusted, charismatic, and passionate real estate agent. Most recently, he served as a Real Estate Specialist at Anagnostou Properties, which joined Compass Real Estate in Menlo Park in 2019.
With specialties in buyer representation, listing, and landlord services, Sam’s career was marked by integrity, creativity, and a rare ability to turn even the most unlikely real estate dreams into reality.
A San Francisco native and graduate of San Francisco State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Speaking, Sam’s roots in the Bay Area ran deep. He was admired not just for his business acumen, but for his warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication to the communities he served.
Sam’s work extended far beyond transactions—he played a meaningful role in the revitalization of downtown Redwood City and mentored countless clients and agents throughout his career. In recent years, he proudly worked alongside his two sons, George and Panos, building a dynamic family-led team known for its unique synergy and personalized approach to real estate.
Beyond the office, Sam was an outdoorsman at heart. Whether surfing the California coast, riding his motorcycle through winding canyons, or enjoying time on the water with his sons, he embraced life with energy and passion. He also made headlines in recent years as the buyer of a custom Batmobile replica, showcasing his playful spirit and love for collecting.
Sam’s death has sent ripples through the real estate community and the neighborhoods he so faithfully served. Friends and colleagues have described him as “one-of-a-kind,” “a true force,” and “a man who genuinely cared about others.”
