Sheldon Withrow, a 20-year-old resident of Vidor, Texas, tragically lost his life on Friday night after losing control of his motorcycle and colliding fatally.

According to a statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers, the accident happened at approximately 10:15 p.m. as Withrow was traveling north on FM105, just north of Ponderosa Street. While navigating the roadway, he lost control of his 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle, which skidded into the oncoming lane.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, Withrow was pronounced dead by Orange County Precinct Three Justice of the Peace, Joy Dubose-Simonton.
