Sierra Leon man, Mel Melchizedek killed wife Hulda Mosiori before taking own life in domestic incident on Snowy Owl Street Northwest in Ramsey, MN

The Ramsey, Minnesota community is reeling after a devastating domestic violence tragedy that claimed the life of 42-year-old Hulda Bochere Mosiori and her husband, Mel Melchizedek, 51. The incident unfolded Tuesday morning, April 22, 2025, in the normally quiet neighborhood along Snowy Owl Street Northwest, shaking the residents and reminding us all of the urgent need to raise awareness about domestic violence.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement responded to the 15200 block of Snowy Owl Street Northwest shortly after 8:30 a.m. following a report of a person with a firearm. Prior to the fatal events at their home, Mel Melchizedek reportedly confronted a neighbor while armed before returning to his nearby residence. Authorities immediately issued a shelter-in-place advisory to protect other residents in the area.

When attempts to contact the individuals inside the residence failed, law enforcement made entry into the home, where they discovered the bodies of Hulda Mosiori and Mel Melchizedek. Investigators believe that Mel tragically took Hulda’s life before turning the weapon on himself. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Hulda Mosiori, a native of Kenya, was known among her community for her warm smile, generous spirit, and commitment to her faith and family.
