SOUTH CAROLINA – A South Carolina woman has been arrested and charged after authorities discovered a newborn baby brutally stabbed to death inside an apartment complex last Friday night.
Law enforcement responded to a distressing 911 call regarding a medical emergency. Upon arrival, officers were met with a gruesome scene—an infant suffering from severe stab wounds. Tragically, the baby was already deceased.
Investigators say the child’s mother, identified as Ann Ngo, gave birth at home but did not seek medical assistance. Instead, authorities allege that she repeatedly stabbed the newborn with a sharp metal letter opener before placing the infant in a trash bag and hiding it in another room.
Ngo has since been taken into custody and charged with homicide by child abuse.
Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding a potential motive. The case remains under investigation, and additional charges may be considered as officials continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
