Ste-Martine Community Mourns the Loss of Simon Faubert in Tragic Accident

Ste-Martine, Quebec — The close-knit community of Ste-Martine is grieving the untimely loss of Simon Faubert, the cherished son of François Faubert and Lise Bédard, who tragically died in a car accident on October 30, 2025, at the age of 27.

Simon was known for his gentle spirit, warmth, and genuine kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Family and friends remember him as a source of light, love, and laughter, whose presence could brighten any room. His sincerity and compassion were evident in all that he did, making him deeply beloved by those around him.

His parents, François and Lise, described Simon as their pride and joy, a son whose heart and character brought comfort and happiness to their lives. He is survived by his loving sister, Sabrina, who shared a special bond with her brother, as well as by his grandparents, Gérard and Georgette Faubert, and France Bédard, his maternal grandmother. He is now reunited in spirit with his late grandfather, Louis Bédard.

Extended family members, including his uncles and aunts — Yves (Pierre), Annie (Jean-Marc), and Éric (Marie-Eve) — along with cousins Noémie, Alexis, and Élyane, also mourn his loss and remember Simon’s optimism, warmth, and infectious smile. His circle of friends and acquaintances have shared stories of his kindness and the comfort he brought to their lives, reflecting the impact he made during his too-short life.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Simon’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Funeral Complex Stéphane Gendron, located at 110 rue St-Laurent (corner Richardson), Beauharnois. Family, friends, and community members are invited to come together to honor his memory and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
