MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Police are investigating a shootout that broke out inside a home on Tomahawk Street during the early morning hours of Thursday, September 5.
According to MPD, officers were dispatched to the residence around 4:04 a.m. following reports of shots fired. When they arrived, investigators learned that multiple gunmen had exchanged gunfire inside the home.
Two individuals were struck during the shootout, sustaining graze wounds. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital and are reported to be in non-critical condition.
Detectives are continuing to piece together what led to the gunfire and how many suspects may have been involved. Authorities have not yet released information regarding possible arrests or the identities of those injured.
