“Another good one gone too soon…”
With hearts heavy with grief and disbelief, the community of Titusville, Pennsylvania, is mourning the tragic and unexpected loss of Tyler Bean, who passed away following a road traffic accident. Tyler’s passing has left a deep ache in the hearts of family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Tyler passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from injuries sustained in the crash, leaving his family, friends, and community in mourning.
Born on July 3, 2001, in Franklin, Tyler was the son of Chad and Laura Bean, who survive him. A 2020 graduate of Titusville High School, where he earned honors, Tyler was known for his strong work ethic and adventurous spirit. He had been employed as a machinist with Millcraft SMS Services in Oil City, where colleagues remember him as driven, reliable, and always willing to lend a hand.
Tyler’s passions extended far beyond the workplace. He was an avid outdoorsman with a deep love for hunting, fishing, and all things fast and loud. Whether tearing down back roads on his motorcycle or revving up his ATV on the trails, Tyler lived for the thrill of the ride and the freedom of the open air.
Friends say his enthusiasm was contagious. “There was never a dull moment with Tyler,” said one close friend. “If you were around him, you were smiling — and probably hanging on for dear life on the back of something with wheels.”
Family members describe Tyler as hardworking and hands-on — always taking on new projects and never hesitating to help someone in need. Known for his tenacity and heart, he was a trusted friend, a devoted brother, and a beloved son. Around the campfire, he was often the one telling stories, cracking jokes, or simply listening — present in every moment.
“Tyler made every day count,” his family shared in a statement. “He chased joy in the simplest things — a good ride, a clear sky, the laughter of his friends. He gave his all to everything he did.”
Tyler is survived by his parents, Chad and Laura Bean; siblings Jayden and Emma; paternal grandparents Gail and Char Bean; maternal grandmother Cynthia McElroy; and extended family including big uncle Mike McElroy, little uncle Mike McElroy and wife Britteney, uncle Andy McElroy and fiancée Stephanie, uncle Jason Bean and Darcey, uncle Shawn Beach and wife Melissa, as well as his loyal dog, Waylon, and numerous cousins and close friends.
As the Titusville community grapples with this tragic loss, many remember Tyler not only for the way he lived, but for the joy, laughter, and unwavering kindness he brought into the lives of those around him.
Tyler Bean’s untimely passing is a stark reminder of how fleeting life can be — but those who knew him say his spirit will continue to ride on in every sunset, backroad, and roaring engine he once called home.
